Today’s bento was tucked gently into its wooden box—not with haste, but with care, like placing a soft note between the pages of a book.
This morning began quietly, with tea in hand and soft voices. We made simple plans for the weekend: a visit to the botanical garden, and a stop by the shop to mend an old bag I’ve grown fond of. 🌿👜🌸
Though we don’t live together, our mornings often begin like this—a brief yet peaceful moment before we step into the day.
Each lunch this week has carried its own small story.
On Tuesday, there was stir-fried pork and greens, with a gentle miso soup and a citrus slice to brighten the afternoon.
Wednesday brought grilled salmon and garlic-sautéed potatoes—solid, nourishing, with bold miso-pickled eggplant.
Thursday morning, over breakfast, we quietly whispered weekend ideas between sips of tea. The lunch that day felt simple and gentle: fuki rice and tamagoyaki.
And today, a warm and colorful box:

今日のお弁当は、木の曲げわっぱにふんわりと詰めました。
慌ただしい朝でも、どこかページの間に挟む手紙のように、そっと気持ちを包んでくれている気がします。
朝の紅茶を飲みながら、週末の予定を話しました。
古くなった鞄を直しに行って、それから植物園へ🌿👜🌸
私たちは一緒に暮らしてはいませんが、朝にほんの少し顔を合わせるこの時間が、日々の支えになっています。
